This Privacy Policy describes how ReciStep ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and web service at recistep.com.

1. Information We Collect

• Account & Contact Information: When you register an account, we may collect your email address and authentication credentials securely managed via Supabase.
• User-Generated Content: Recipe preferences, pantry ingredient lists, saved favorites, dietary restrictions, and cooking logs you save in the app.
• Payment & Billing Data: If you purchase a premium subscription or token pack, payment processing is handled directly by Stripe. We do not store or process your full credit card numbers or banking passwords on our servers.
• Usage & Device Information: Basic device telemetry, operating system details, and anonymous crash logs to ensure app stability and optimal performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and personalize smart AI recipe suggestions tailored to your pantry and preferences.
• To manage your account, authenticate logins, and synchronize your data across devices.
• To process billing transactions and provide subscription benefits.
• To troubleshoot bugs, protect against fraud or abuse, and improve app functionality.

3. Third-Party Services

ReciStep integrates with trusted third-party service providers to deliver key features:

• Supabase: Cloud database, authentication, and secure data storage.
• Google Gemini AI: Artificial intelligence engine used for recipe generation and conversational cooking assistance.
• Stripe: Payment processing for in-app subscriptions and purchases.

4. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide you with the App's services. You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time:

• In-App / Web Self-Service Deletion: Sign in to your account on the ReciStep mobile app or at recistep.com, tap your Profile button in the top-right corner, and select Delete Account. Confirming this action immediately and permanently deletes your account, saved recipes, credit balance, and authentication profile from our servers.
• Email Deletion Request: If you are unable to access the app, you may request complete account and data deletion by emailing support@recistep.com from the email address associated with your account. Requests are processed within 7 business days.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/SSL) and secure authentication protocols to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

6. Children's Privacy

ReciStep is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
